The Girl Behind
The Design
I am a graphic designer with a passion for illustration and layout design. I was initially drawn to Graphic Design because of my passion for taking creative ideas and making them a reality. I love helping others achieve their creative goals and it is a major motivator in both my professional and personal lives. Some of the most fulfilling experiences of my life have been creating projects for my friends, family, and community. It’s my way of giving back!
Where I’m From
I was born and raised in Norwood Young America Minnesota on a Dairy Farm. I have grown to love the Minnesota community I have grown up in and it has largely shaped the women I am today. Family and community are core values of mine and I incorporate those values into my design work at every opportunity I get.
Education
I am currently a full-time student at the University of Minnesota Duluth studying Graphic Design (Studio) with a Marketing Minor. I also work at the Tweed Museum of Art as a Senior Student Graphic Designer, serving as a mentor for our newer graphic designers.
Beyond My Design…
In my free time, there is a wide variety of activities I like to indulge in. This ranges from watching movies and expanding my knowledge of cinema to exploring nature. I especially love hiking at the Minnesota State Parks where I like to dabble in photography. I am also a huge lover of art. I love to spend my time drawing, painting, and creating digital art. One of my favorite forms of digital art I do is character design for characters my friends and I play in Dungeons and Dragons. You can check out some of my hobby art below!
